To the Members of our Advance Financial Family,

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these past few months as we modified our services for your health and safety. Now that Indiana has loosened restrictions brought on by the pandemic, we are now able to reopen our branch lobbies with precautions in place to best serve our members.

While we transition through the different phases as outlined by the state, we encourage you to continue limiting your visits to the branch lobbies and utilize our drive-up and digital banking services whenever possible.

Our branch lobbies will reopen on Monday, June 15, 2020 with normal business hours and new safety protocols. As we reopen, we are taking extra precautions to keep you safe and healthy as you visit our branches and interact with our staff. We'd like to ask you to follow the protocols below to ensure your safety and the safety of our employees:

Lobby Access Protocols:
- All members (including children age 2 and up), guests and vendors must wear a face covering at all times while in the building.
- Members may be asked to briefly lower their face covering for identification purposes.
- A limited number of members will be allowed in the lobby at a time. Additional members will be asked to wait in designated areas outside or be encouraged to use the drive-up.
- Members will be limited to no more than 2 people in the MSR booths at a time.
- Any children accompanying a member must remain with that member during their visit.
- At-risk or elderly members can make an appointment to visit the branch at an appropriate time to minimize exposure to others.

Additional Safety Measures:
- We have put guided entry and exit paths in place at both branches.
- Health and safety signs have been posted in the entryways and throughout the lobbies.
- Sneeze guards have been installed at each of our teller stations and member service representatives’ desks.
- Hand sanitizer has been placed in the lobbies for member use. We encourage members to use hand sanitizer before and after transactions.
- Floor guides have been placed in the lobbies to ensure 6 ft. social distancing.
- We are sanitizing and cleaning our branch surfaces and high touch areas throughout the day.
- Our employees will be wearing masks when serving members.
We look forward to seeing our members in our branch lobbies again, but we remain focused on protecting the health of our members and employees while also providing the best possible service.

As the restrictions continue to loosen, we will make adjustments to our safety protocols as needed and will inform you of those updates through email, lobby signage and posts on our website and Facebook page.

While most of us are working together during this sensitive time, sadly some individuals are using people’s fears and anxieties over COVID-19 as an opportunity to commit fraud, scams and identity theft.

Here at Advance Financial, we want you to stay healthy, not only physically but financially too. Please take caution and follow the tips below to protect yourselves and your accounts.

  • Hang up on robocalls. Don’t press any numbers.
  • Ignore online offers for vaccinations and home test kits.
  • Fact-check information. Scammers and sometimes well-meaning people share information that hasn’t been verified.
  • Know who you’re buying from.
  • Don’t respond to texts and emails about checks from the government. Just delete them.
  • Don’t click on links from sources you don’t know. They could download viruses onto your computer or device.
  • Watch for emails claiming to be from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or experts saying they have information about the virus. For the most up-to-date information about the Coronavirus, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
  • Do your homework when it comes to donations, whether through charities or crowdfunding sites. Don’t let anyone rush you into making a donation. If someone wants donations in cash, by gift card, or by wiring money, don’t do it.

The health and safety of our members and employees is our greatest priority. With guidance from the CDC and state health authorities, we have made the difficult decision to limit person-to-person contact by closing our branch lobbies.

Effective Friday, March 20, 2020, until further notice, Advance Financial FCU will be conducting transactions through the drive-up only.

Lobby Access:

Lobby access will be available by appointment only for member needs that cannot be completed in the drive-up including, but not limited to, opening new accounts, applying for loans and accessing safe deposit boxes.

Drive- Ups:

Both our drive-ups will remain open with regular hours.

Monday through Friday
8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

We are encouraging all of our members to use the alternative services outlined below whenever possible to help keep the drive-up lines moving as quickly as possible.

If you need to use the drive-up, please prepare for longer than usual wait times as our staff does their best to process each transaction accurately and efficiently.

Loan Payments:
We are encouraging all members to make their loan payments by mail or night drop (at the Schererville office only). Late payments will be waived for any mailed payment received 5 days past the designated grace period.

- View balances and current transactions
- Make loan payments from savings or checking
- View and print check copies
- Make or schedule one-time or recurring bill payments
- Make internal and external transfers

Mobile Banking
- View balances and current transactions
- Transfer money from one account to another (within the same account number)
- Make loan payments from savings or checking
- Search for the nearest ATM or Shared Branch location

Mobile Payment Services
- Mobile Wallet allows you to make contactless payments with Android™, Apple® and Samsung™ devices.
- Card Manager allows you to turn your debit card on and off, set spending limits and more.

Touch Tone Teller Service
- Transfer from one account to another
- Make loan payments from savings or checking
- Verify balance information on all your accounts
