Our 2026 Scholarship Program has officially closed, and we are incredibly grateful to all the students who applied. We were inspired by the talent, dedication, and community spirit shown in this year’s applications.
We are proud to announce that this year’s scholarship recipient will be revealed at our 88th Annual Meeting on May 6. We look forward to celebrating their achievements and sharing their story with our members and community.

We’re proud to support Damar Services through our fundraiser, helping advance their mission of providing compassionate care and services to children and individuals with developmental and behavioral needs.
Damar Services plays an important role in our community by offering programs that support growth, stability, and long-term success for individuals and families who need it most. Their work helps create opportunities, build independence, and strengthen families across Northwest Indiana, including the East Chicago area.
Community involvement is a core part of who we are, and partnering with organizations like Damar Services allows us to give back in meaningful ways. We’re grateful to our members, staff, and community who helped make this fundraiser a success and for the opportunity to support an organization that makes such a positive impact.

We’re proud to serve as an official drop-off center for Cell Phones For Soldiers®, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping active-duty military members and veterans stay connected with the people and resources that matter most.
Cell Phones For Soldiers® provides free communication services and emergency support to service members and veterans by recycling donated cell phones and electronic devices. Since its founding in 2004, the organization has delivered millions of minutes of free talk time, distributed phones and service to veterans in need, and helped families stay connected during deployments and times of transition.
As part of our commitment to community involvement and service, we are honored to support this mission by making it easy for our members and neighbors to give back. Old cellphones can be dropped off at either AFFCU office lobby during normal business hours.
By donating a device, you’re doing more than decluttering, you’re helping a service member hear a loved one’s voice, a veteran access essential services, and a family stay connected when it matters most.
