Shred-It Day is May 9

Spring Clean Your Files at our Shred-It Event!

Identity theft is on the rise, and one of the easiest ways to protect yourself is by properly disposing of sensitive documents. That’s why we’re excited to host our upcoming Shred-It Day - a free, convenient way for our members and community to securely destroy personal paperwork.

Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at our Schererville office from 10am to 12pm and bring your old documents for safe, on-site shredding. This event is a great opportunity to clear out clutter while ensuring your personal information stays out of the wrong hands.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing items such as:

  • Old bank statements
  • Credit card offers
  • Tax documents (older than 7 years)
  • Bills, receipts, and anything with personal information

What NOT to Bring

Please do not bring any of the following items:

  • Books, magazines or binders
  • CDs or floppy Disks
  • Checkbooks still attached to the booklet (the binder must be removed)
  • Any plastic or cardboard material

Important Note: For the safety and efficiency of the event, any materials that are not suitable for shredding will be returned to the member.

Annual Meeting is May 6

Celebrate 88 Years of You

Join us for our 88th Annual Meeting as we celebrate our history, connect with our members, and look ahead to what’s next. For 88 years, our success has been built on the strength of our community and this event is all about you.

Be part of a special evening as we announce our scholarship winner, recognize important milestones, and share updates on the future of your credit union.

Enjoy member giveaways, door prizes and refreshments as we come together to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished and everything still to come.

Venue and Time:

  • St. Patrick's Hall (inside St. Michael's church)- 1 W. Wilhelm St, Schererville, IN 46375
  • Doors open at 6:15pm.
  • Meeting starts and doors will close promptly at 7:00pm.

The Annual Meeting is for Advance Financial members only, but we will be signing up new members at the event, so feel free to bring your family and friends. It's just $5 to join.
